Village Hall Exeter – ERREKA PREMIS Automatic Swing Door

ERREKA PREMIS Automatic Swing Door – The Client

The proprietors of a Village Hall in Exeter enlisted the support of ERREKA UK to provide the installation of an all-new ERREKA PREMIS Automatic Swing Door. The client was looking to facilitate better access to the site for elderly and disabled users. By removing access as a barrier to entry; the client hoped that isolated members of the community would feel encouraged to participate in local community events. As a result, this improved access would allow disabled users to have more opportunities to socialise with friends whilst also enabling them to make the most of local facilities.

The Requirements

The client sought a clean but most importantly, functional, design. The entrance should be bright and airy in order to support the feeling of a warm and welcoming environment. What is more, the door must be able to accomodate disabled users with a wide enough opening angle to support wheelchairs. Furthermore, the door must be easy to use and include safety systems in order to safeguard vulnerable users. Finally, the door must be energy efficient in order to keep overheads to a minimum.

The Result

Following the client’s specific requirements, ERREKA fit a RAL White ERREKA PREMIS Automatic Swing Door complete with a glass entrance screen. A push pad entry system was included in the installation in order to provide safe and straight forward access. In addition, the door makes use of the PREMIS 120 operator. Both the proprietor and end user will benefit from this addition as the operator is able to provide a tight seal on door closure. As a result, warmth is kept inside the building; keeping guests happy and energy costs down.

Glass Shopfront Bristol – Gastro Restaurant

Glass Shopfront Bristol – Gastro Restaurant

ERREKA UK recently lent its expertise to help establish a trendy new Gastro Restaurant in Bristol. The resteraunt; which is a part of the thriving hub of activity found in Millenium Square, is located adjacent to the harbourside. In order to make the most of its prime location; the proprietors were looking to complete the exterior of the building with a contemporary glass shopfront entrance. Essentially, this will ensure that the resteraunt stands out to passersby. This, of course, is vital to maximising potential profits in what is a highly competitive business environment.

The Requirements

The proprietors were keen to implement a transparent shopfront; allowing passersby to look inside the restaurant and get a feeling for the ‘vibe’ on offer. A glass entrance screen would also allow the proprietors to maximise space inside the building; providing more room to seat customers. What is more, with the premises expecting high demand, it was vital that the door can sustain heavy usage for a prolonged period of time. Clearly, this is especially important during the summer when customers look to capitalise on the good weather with visits to the harbour.

The Result

In keeping with the modern exterior, ERREKA finished the build with attractive glass entrance screens and a matching manual door. This complete package provides the inside of the restaurant with a spacious, airy feel. With the sleek, unobtrusive entrance maximising visibility, the proprietors are free to make the most of the additional space with advertising or promotions.

Like all of our products, our manual entry doors are built to the highest standards; providing you with the peace of mind of long term durability.

Malvern Panalytical, Malvern – Door Automation

Door Automation – The Client

Malvern Panalytical, a leading provider of scientific instruments; recently got in touch with ERREKA UK to enquire about door automation for a pair of existing manual doors in use at their site. The company, which designs instruments for a wide number of industries (such as state of art hospital equipment); was looking to simplify and improve access for their employees who frequently transport delicate tools and machinery. Subsequently, with door automation, the client hopes to improve efficiency and reduce the chance of accidental damage to expensive equipment.

The Requirements

The doors must be fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). This will subsequently ensure that disabled workers will be able to negotiate the doors without assistance. In order to assist both disabled workers and to protect large pieces of equipment, the operator will need to provide the doors with the maximum possible opening width. Of course, in cases of wide loads where knocks are unavoidable, it is important that the openers are capable of enduring occasional knocks without detrimentally effecting long term reliability. Finally, it is essential that the installation of the automatic openers cause minimal downtime for the busy site.

The Result

ERREKA supplied and fitted the manual doors with PREMIS 120 openers. Due to its thoughtful design, PREMIS openers are easy to attach to existing doors with minimal fuss. Subsequently, door automation was carried out in swift fashion. Like all of our automatic openers, the PREMIS 250 is fully compliant with the latest health and safety regulations. The PREMIS 120 is known for its robustness and silent movement, it also provides an air tight seal, which will help to contain chemical smells.

Retirement Housing, Hampshire – Disability Discrimination Act Automatic Door

Disability Discrimination Act Automatic Door – The Client

A retirement housing development managed by Fareham Borough council got in touch with ERREKA UK for assistance. Specifically, the proprietors were looking to improve access to an on-site mobility storage shed. Indeed, the existing manual door was proving troublesome for the residents to negotiate. As a result, the client was looking for a Disability Discrimination Act Automatic Door in order to provide residents with autonomous access to the shed.  This would allow residents to go about their daily activities without having to confront any physical challenges.

The Requirements

Naturally, the client’s first priority was to ensure the best possible access to the shed. As a result, the door would need to open as wide as possible in order to accomodate the mobility vehicles. What is more, the opener would need to be durable enough to sustain knocks to the doors; and possible resistance from vehicles barring access. In addition, the client was keen to stress that the door’s security features provide residents with the confidence that their expensive goods are safe from any would-be thieves.

The Result

Having discussed the clients requirements, ERREKA fitted a PREMIS 120 swing door opener, a Disability Discrimination Act Automatic Door . This was a simple and straightforward installation due to the pre-existing manual door. As a result, residents were able to get back up and running with their mobility scooters in no time at all. In addition, the installation came complete with full access control; this will help the client to safeguard the contents of the shed when it is not in use. The Swing door opener itself features a reliable motor which will ensure that the door will be operating for a long time to come. Emersons Green, Bristol – Automatic Office Doors

Automatic Office Doors – The Client

The proprietor of a busy set of offices located in Bristol recently got in touch with ERREKA UK; the client was looking to upgrade their entrance to provide disabled access to their site. By refreshing the entrance with new Automatic Office Doors, the offices would be able to provide equal access for all members of staff. What is more, the revised entrance would lend additional confidence to business customers and potential investors.

The Requirements

The client was looking for an elegent, yet ultimately functional, design. Due to limited interior space, it was vital that the automatic door was able to provide a wide opening arch. This would provide disabled users with the maximum amount of space to negotiate the entrance. In addition, the client requested that the automatic door came with full access control. This extra functionality will allow the doors to co-operate with the business’ specific needs. For example, the client can use the software to restrict access to the site after a set period of time. Finally, the automatic door should prove both energy efficient and reliable over time.

The Result

After consulting with the client; the entrance was complete with a DDA Compliant RAL White Automatic Swing Door. The installation will include push pads, providing simple, stess-free access for all.
