Automatic Doors Swindon – The Client

A college based in Swindon recently got in touch with ERREKA UK. The college was looking for swift assistance to replace failing opener units for their pre-existing automatic doors Swindon. With the doors failing to function properly, providing good access for visitors was becoming deeply problematic for the college; especially as the main entrance sees a significant amount of traffic on a daily basis. As a result, the college were keen to get the automatic doors running smoothly again as quickly as possible.

The Requirements

Whilst the college were clearly keen to get the doors functioning properly again; the propietors were also hoping to improve access for disabled students by providing better opening angles and more sophisticated sensors. This would allow disabled students to feel confident navigating the main entrance without having to battle with half-opened doors or sensors failing to recognise them. As a result, to meet the clients requirements, the openers would need to be fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). What is more, the openers would need to be durable and reliable enough to sustain frequent usage in all weather conditions. Finally, it is essential that the openers are cost-effective to ensure their long time viability; this means that they need to be cheap to implement, as well as cheap to maintain.

The Result

ERREKA reccomended that the existing doors were powered by a new set of PREMIS 250 openers. These openers are built to comply with the latest regulations ensuring that both DDA and Health and Safety measures are met. In addition, the openers allow for silent operation; this will ensure that the doors do not disturb staff or students. Finally, with an incredible air-tight seal, the propietors can look forward to marked energy savings.

Automatic Doors Bristol – Sports Pavilion

ERREKA UK are happy to announce their involvement with an ambitious new project to create a £5.2M Sports Complex in Bristol. Development for the project is already well underway. Bristol City Council subsequently hope that the complex will “tranform facilities and expand opportunities” for the local residents of Lockleaze. Moreover, the scheme intends to “provide the local community with a facility which will become a home for sport and community activities […] for many years to come”*. ERREKA will design and install a set of new Automatic Doors Bristol for the project.

The Requirements

What is more, with the project aiming to impress; it was essential that the automatic door system was in line with the contemporary aesthetic of the building. At the same time, it was equally important that the doors were very much functional; robust enough to survive the test of time. Furthermore, the entrance would need to be wide enough to cope with traffic during busy sporting events, yet also capable of providing good access for disabled users.

The Result

ERREKA designed the shopfront to house a wide new entrance screen; the screen is complete in a sleek RAL grey and will provide an airy, welcoming space inside. The ERTAIN sliding opener will power the sliding doors. The ERTAIN opener is built for long term durability in heavy traffic flow environments.

The automatic sliding doors are fully compliant with the latest regulations, meeting the EU Safety Standards. The openers feature a robust set of software. Firstly, electric locks can be set to restrict access to the building after a set time period. Secondly, the doors can be set to exit only. As a result, these features gives the owners additional control over the entrance; making the opening and closing process that much easier. Finally, with the doors ready for the grand opening on 9th December; we look forward to seeing this exciting new project come to life.

Automatic Doors Kent – Medical Centre

A busy surgery recently got in touch with ERREKA enquiring about a set of Automatic Doors Kent. Following a discussion, it became apparent that the surgery was looking to implement a new, wider entrance in order to improve disabled access for its patients. What is more, this would provide more space in the waiting room; allowing patients to enjoy a more comfortable experience. Subsequently, the surgery hoped that this change would make the room feel less claustrophobic; with the intention of putting anxious patients at ease.

The Requirements

Due to the number of frail and vulnerable people visiting the surgery; it was vital that the new entrance met (and exceeded) all health and safety requirements.

At ERREKA UK, all of our products meet the European Standard EN 16005. As a result, our automatic doors include activation and threshold scanners. This means that if someone is stood still (in front of the door) when the doors are in an open position, the safety scanner will detect them and stop the doors from closing. What is more, the automatic doors include side screen safety sensors which monitors motion outside the range of the safety scanner. This protects unsuspecting patients who are standing to the side of the doors.

Due to the nature of the service, it is essential that the new entrance is up and running as quickly as possible to minimise disruption to staff and patients. Finally, the entrance must be capable of sustaining heavy traffic during peak times.

The Result

ERREKA UK designed and installed two automatic sliding entrance screens finished in RAL green. These are powered by the ERTAIN opener; the ERTAIN is a reliable opener which is more than capable of meeting the clients requirements.  It features silent opening/closure movements which reduces stress for those with sensitive hearing… as well as a robust construction which will deftly handle traffic at peak times. Bristol Shopfront – Hair Dressers

A local hair dressing business (relocating to a new premises) recently enlisted ERREKA’s support to renovate the Bristol shopfront. The site, previously used as a bank, would require a brand new bespoke shopfront. Subsequently, the proprietors expected the new shop front to be modern and trendy in order to attract customers interest. With tough local competition, the business would need to stand out from the crowd in order to stay on top of the game.

The Requirements

The first task involved opening up the space in order to present customers with a warm, welcoming environment. Likewise, this will enable the owners to show off attractive window displays; enticing customers with new products and styles. Due to the site’s busy roadside location, noise isolation remains a priority. What is more, the client is looking to keep overheads to a minimum so it is important that the shopfront is energy efficient. Finally, the customer requested that the shopfront came complete in RAL black to finish off the sleek new look.

The Result

ERREKA designed, fitted and installed the new shopfront in RAL Black with glass entrance screens and an automatic door powered by a PREMIS 120 Opener. The PREMIS 120 is a robust opener designed with long term durability in mind. It facilitates an extremely airtight seal allowing the client to save on their energy bills, whilst also fulfilling noise isolation requirements. This will enable customers to relax and shut themselves away from the outside world whilst they are enjoying their visit to the salon. Automatic Door Bristol – Alliance Homes

Alliance Homes recently got in touch with ERREKA UK, requesting assistance with the installation of a new Automatic Door Bristol. Prior to our assistance, the client had been using the door as a manual entry. However, with customers requesting better disabled access, the client decided that now was the time to upgrade the entrance. The client hoped that with an automatic door, current customers would enjoy better mobility around the site.

The Requirements

Clearly, disabled access would be a number one priority. As a result, the door would need to open as wide as possible to best facilitate disabled users. What is more, the door would need to come complete with finger guards in order to protect residents from harm. Likewise, the client expected the opener to be robust; ensuring long term reliability. Most importantly, however, the client stressed that the opener must be cost-effective.

The Result

ERREKA recommended that the entrance adopt the PREMIS 120 Opener. Our expertly trained engineers carried out the installation, ensuring a professional fit. The PREMIS 120 more than exceeded our client’s requirements; this opener is designed with durability in mind, ensuring that long-term reliability will not be a problem. What is more, due to an airtight seal, the PREMIS 120 is able to secure energy savings for the client’s building. This is due to the fact that the doors remain tightly sealed when not in use, trapping heat inside, and preventing energy waste.
