Automatic Doors London – University
A university recently approached ERREKA with plans to refresh one of the entrances with a new set of Automatic Doors London. Following a subsequent phone call conversation, it appeared that the university was hoping to attract more students to the campus. To do so, the client intended to modernise a tired looking administrative building which houses staff who provide financial and administrative support to students from 9-5. As a result, it is clear that the building plays a prominent role in the student experience. Therefore, the client hopes that by modernising the entrance, the building will align with the rest of the campus; providing students with a contemporary and consistent design layout throughout.
The Requirements
So, it was clear that as a university-owned building, the automatic doors would have to provide good access for disabled students. Therefore, the doors would need to be compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). What is more, the doors need to be durable and equally capable of dealing with heavy traffic; this is especially important during busy periods at the start of each semester where students urgently seek information about the due date of their loans. Finally, the doors need to be cost-effective. This means that they need to be cheap to implement, as well as cheap to maintain. Finally, the client expects a swift installation in order to avoid disruption.
The Result
ERREKA recommended that the university adopted RAL Black Automatic Sliding Doors, for their stylish aesthetic and strong durability. These were to be mounted upon the Global opener; this is an ultra-reliable opener which is quick and easy to install, resulting in minimum downtime. What is more, like all of our automatic door entrances; the Global opener is fully compliant with the latest health and safety regulations, surpassing all DDA requirements. After a swift and painless installation by our expert engineers, the client commented how happy they were with the new entrance. The building was given a new lease of life, and disabled students found that they could get access to services far easier.
