Automatic Door System – Tourist Information Centre, Blackpool

Eager to promote tourism in the area of Blackpool; the propietors of a tourist information centre were exploring options to enhance the profile of their building. Following a conversation with ERREKA experts; the proprietors were keen to go ahead with the installation of an all-new automatic door system. Indeed, the proprietors hoped that the project would enable more tourists to utilise the centre. Consequently, this would enable tourists to make the most of their visit; exploring the best of what Blackpool has to offer.

The Requirements

So, with the site recieving regular traffic, the doors would need to be durable and reliable. What is more, with the centre attracting a large number of disabled visitors, it was vital that the doors were compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act; this would give the client the peace of mind that the doors would comfortably accomodate wheelchair users. Furthermore, it was equally important that the entrance was safe and secure; ensuring that young or vulnerable people are protected from injury. Finally, the new automatic door system would provide a modern, exciting new aesthetic to the building; enabling it to stand out amongst the sea of shops dotted around the area.

The Result

ERREKA UK reccomended that the new automatic door installation came complete with the ERTAIN opener; a reliable opener designed for regular use. As with all of our automatic door openers, the ERTAIN is fully compliant with the latest regulations, meeting the DDA requirements. However, in order to further protect the clients customers, the automatic doors were fitted with finger guards. The customer requested that the doors came complete in RAL white, providing a sharp, eye-catching contrast to its surrounding environment.  The finished product provided the building with a new lease of life, ensuring that the propietors can continue to serve customers with a fantastic experience.
