Automatic Door Manchester
A Pharmacy called upon ERREKA UK‘s assistance for the design and installation of an Automatic Door Manchester. The pharmacy’s pre-existing manual door was proving cumbersome and difficult to negotiate for disabled customers. As a result, the proprietor hoped that an automated unit would allow for better access to the shop, ensuring that every customer felt welcome. What is more, with the design optimising space; the client hoped that the extra room on the shop floor would help to ease overcrowding during busy periods.
The Requirements
As good disabled access was a main priority for this project, it was essential that the new automatic sliding door was safe to use for vulnerable members of the public. As a result, the sliding door would need to meet the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements. In addition, the client expected the automatic door to provide energy savings over the previous manual installation. Finally, with extra space as an additional priority, the proprietors intended to open up the area; bringing more light into the building. This would therefore help to improve the customer experience; providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The Result
ERREKA UK reccomended that the revised entrance came complete with entrance screens made from safety glass. This would work in conjunction with an automatic sliding door powered by an ERTAIN opener. This opener is perfect for the environment; providing reassuring reliability as well as energy savings from the doors sophisticated sensors which automatically close when no obstacles are detected. This helps the building to retain heat, allowing customers to enjoy a brief respite from the harsh cold during Winter. With the new automatic door in operation, customers can enjoy the new, more spacious environment without having to worry themselves with heavy manual doors.
