Automating Existing Doors – The Client
Keen to make the right first impression; the proprietors of a hotel based in Cardiff sought the help of ERREKA. As such, they were looking at automating existing doors. With the current manual doors proving heavy and cumbersome, the propietors were eager to improve the customer experience; ensuring that customers carrying heavy luggage could access the property without difficulty.
The Requirements
So, it was clear that the automatic openers would need to be strong enough to support the pre-existing manual doors. What is more, with the hotel experiencing regular demand, it was essential that the doors would continue to operate reliably in the future. Subsequently, the opener would need to be able to cope with heavy traffic during peak times; this would be most acute during sporting events and concerts which are popular attractions in the bustling city.
Fortunately, the doors are wide enough to accommodate wheel chair access. As a result, with the support of automation; the propietors can rest assured that the hotel will provide good disabled access. Finally, with customers passing through the lobby carrying heavy luggage on a daily basis, it is essential that the doors are able to maintain effective automation following inevitable bumps and obstructions.
The Result
Having established the clients requirements, ERREKA advised that the entrance adopted PREMIS 250 openers. These heavy duty openers are capable of automating heavy doors without a hitch. As a result, customers can enjoy trouble-free access to the hotel’s lobby area, enriching the customer experience. What is more, the doors will prevent unnecessary queues for arrival and departure; this will help to maintain the smooth-running of the hotel for a long time to come.
