A busy hotel operating on the outskirts of Nottingham; recently got in contact with ERREKA requesting support with the automation of a set of manual entry doors. The pre-existing manual doors were currently in use at the main entrance of the property. As a result, the owner was keen to rejuvenate the manual doors in the hope of improving the customer experience. The Requirements
So, it became apparent that the automatic opener would need to be robust enough to deal with the pre-existing manual doors which were substantially heavy. What is more, due to tight budget constraints; the client expects a cost effective and affordable solution. Fortunately, the doors are wide enough to accommodate wheel chair access. As a result, with an opener providing automation; good disabled access is achievable without the need for a new set of automatic doors. Furthermore, the automatic opener needs to be up to the punishing task of dealing with heavy customer traffic on a regular basis; this will ensure that the check-in and check-out process runs smoothly preventing unnecessary queues in the lobby. Finally, the automatic opener must be durable enough to deal with regular knocks and scrapes as it will encounter the transportation of heavy luggage on a regular basis.
The Result
After discussing the clients requirements over the phone, ERREKA recommended that the entrance adopt the PREMIS 250 opener. This opener is the most durable opener which ERREKA produces; this ensures that it is fully capable of supporting the clients heavy doors. In addition, the opener will survive the test of time due to its use of a strong and reliable motor. After seeing the newly automated doors in action, the owner commented how delighted he was with the new addition; the automated doors have enabled a greater range of guests to consider visiting the hotel. What is more, the transportation of heavy luggage is no longer a issue for guests; this means that guests can depart and arrive without the need to request support from staff. As a result, the hotel can make use of the staff more effectively.
